What is the difference of a fiberglass pool and a marcite pool, gunite pool or concrete pool? While all are inground pools and have similar construction and permitting requirements there are some unique differences. First fiberglass pools are less abrasive on your feet and body. Many people don’t know that a fiberglass pool require less chemicals to maintain due to its smooth surface and being algae resistant. Fiberglass also works as a natural insulator which helps reduce the electric cost to maintain the pool. Finally, fiberglass pools do not require 10-year renovations of refinishing to avoid leaks.
